world lymphoma awareness day 2008

Monday, September 15th is World Lymphoma Awareness Day (WLAD). Established by the international Lymphoma Coalition and launched in 2004, WLAD is held on September 15th every year and is a day dedicated to raising awareness of lymphoma.

Supported by organizations like the Lymphoma Research Foundation, the Coalition has launched the Know Your Nodes campaign in its effort to get the word out.

Here are some interesting statistics about lymphoma provided by the National Cancer Institute: Hodgkin's and Non-Hodgkins.

Finally, sticking to the theme of lymphoma awareness, Understanding Lymphomas: Symptoms, Diagnosis & Treatment is a very informative webcast by Sloan-Kettering.
