day +90

Yesterday evening I e-mailed the New York City Department of Transportation inquiring about my interest in applying for a pass or permit that gives me clearance to photograph the Harlem River bridges. Following my experience on the GWB last week, I thought it would be really helpful if I had some kind of authorization. I imagine artists, photographers, and film makers do this all the time. In the text of the message, I also mentioned my interest in possibly publishing my work. So, we'll see what they say.

I also finished watching the third season of 24. Man, I can't get enough of Jack Bauer! Looking forward for Netflix to send me the beginning of the fourth season.

Today at Sloan I received my monthly treatment of Aerosolized Pentamidine and IVIG. It went well. No blood was drawn and I didn't see Dr. Castro-Malaspina. I'll see him next week.

Finally, this afternoon I saw this new political ad for Mike Huckabee. Though I'm not voting for Mike Huckabee, I found this ad to be quite clever and funny. Walker, Texas Ranger lives!

Hi Duane,

I really like looking at your photos of the Harlem River and beyond, they make me want to explore that area...I am ashamed to say that I have never been too much beyond the "stadium". Good luck with the city and whatever comes of your project, your photos and choice of subject matter are great, we would definitley buy the book :-)!

+90 now...that's terrific, sounds like you are doing and feeling well based on your long walks. All of us who follow your blog are happy to hear good news about your health. On top of that, your blog is just really interesting covering a wide range of subjects and your many interests. Thanks!

Keep fighting / Christine

Duane,

Not sure how far Bronx is from Brooklyn (I know, embarrassing). But I just saw this really cool exhibit online at the Brooklyn Museum

Thanks Christine. I'm so used to using the automatic options of my digital camera that I don't know much about the manual features. For example, I'm experimenting with the ISO function, seeing what ISO works with what light setting.

Thanks for such a warm comment!

Wishing you a happy Thanksgiving and moreover, continued strength and health!

Hi Anonymous!

I love the Brooklyn Museum. It's one of the city's great, creative art institutions. Thanks for posting the links to the new exhibition. I've heard of the artist, but I must confess I don't really know anything about him but the photos you linked to seem quite interesting. If I can, I'll try to check it out! Thanks again for the info!!!
