the lasalle bank chicago marathon

On Wednesday night, I spoke to Tammer informing him that I wouldn't be able to make it out to Chicago for his marathon run on October 7th, since I'm so fresh out of transplant. Back in the spring months before transplantation, I had hoped that by October it might be possible for me to travel out there in order to support him, but it's clear I'm not ready to do so. For several months my friend, Tammer, has been training to participate in the Lasalle Bank Chicago Marathon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team in Training. He's running in my honor. His goal is to raise $5,000 for the LLS and as of today, he's 73% towards that end.

Click here to read my 5/31/07 post about his fantastic undertaking and if you're able, please help Tammer and the LLS reach their $5,000 goal by donating here.

When I receive news about his marathon run, I'll share it.
