pain on right hip

This afternoon after class I went to hospital, where I met Dr. van Besien briefly about a pain that I have been experiencing on my right hip. I had noticed it before, perhaps as long as two weeks ago, but I didn't think of much it. However, this weekend the pain was back and this time I took greater notice of it. Simply, there are a few dark spots on my right hip in addition to a small bump, which when pressed hurts. He examined it briefly and said it's most likely a skin infection. Having recovered recently from an infection and low WBC counts, these things happen. Su thought it may be shingles. He doubted greatly. If it's shingles, he said, I'll know by Thursday. He prescribed Doxycycline, a medication used to treat bacterial infections.
