classical revival

There are several new exhibitions at museums back home that I want to check out when I return. This is another one to add to my growing list. The Met, after a 15 year renovation, opened its Greek and Roman art galleries this week. Friday's NYT details the renovated galleries: Classical Treasures, Bathed in a New Light. I remember the exhibition space prior to the renovation very well. As an employee there for a few summers during school breaks, I walked through its classical collection as I weaved myself from one part of the museum to another. I also explored its classical collection as a visitor.

Venice and the Islamic World, 828-1797 is another exhibition at the Met that I'm interested to see.
