back on the elliptical

I was back at the gym this afternoon after about a four day absence. School work had compelled me to stay up late the past few nights, which made it hard for me to hit the gym the following days. Nevertheless, today I was back there and I tried the elliptical for the first time since the surgery. I spent 40 minutes on the elliptical and there was no problem. I felt just fine. In fact, I felt like I received a much better all-around workout than I do on the stationary bicycle. I felt really good and a great deal more calories were burned than on the stationary bicycle.

On another note, for close to a week I have felt a tight, heavy feeling in my chest from time to time. It's not painful but it is noticeable definitely. It seems like it has worsened in the past few days. Maybe it is stress. I don't know. I'll need to go for the MUGA test very soon, so I'll bring it up when I go for that exam or see Dr. van Besien again.

My eyes too have been very sensitive, although my vision has remained the same. This is something I have known for several months, but I haven't mentioned it to the doctors thinking that it wasn't really important. I'll mention this to Drs. Schuster and van Besien.
