mid-term papers

About 20 minutes ago, I completed my first of two midterm papers. The first one, which is about Muslim, Christian, and Jewish relations in late Ottoman Palestine, is due tomorrow. It took me a lot longer to complete it than expected. I had hoped that by now, I would have been working on my second paper about Christianity in the Late Roman Empire, which is due on Tuesday. But no, I'm about to eat a quick dinner now at 10:50pm before I begin to work on that second paper. The paper due tomorrow was the first academic paper that I've written in over a year. For the most part, I think it's pretty good. I'm a slow typist so the fact that it took me a long time to type the paper doesn't say much, but the real reason why I finished only 20 minutes ago is because I had to complete an Arabic assignment first and that took me many more hours than I had desired. I wasn't sure about some formating issues regarding the midterm paper. I am rusty and had forgotten them and so, I looked at my indispensable K. Turabian manual for answers as well as some old papers of mine.
