On Saturday, I watched the new and much acclaimed film, Little Miss Sunshine, at Union Square with Ben and two other friends. Before seeing the film, I knew practically nothing about it. I had heard wonderful reviews from friends (though they didn't explain its plot) who had seen it and they all recommended that I check it out. And the TV trailer didn't give me any clue about what Little Miss Sunshine is about. The lone 30 second TV trailer that I saw showed the main characters running to catch up and jump into the open side door of a yellow-colored 70s era minivan. What is that supposed to tell me? Not much. But in the end, it worked out just fine (and that mysterious scene in TV trailer made a lot of sense). The film was a hoot. It's quite funny! The cast is superb and the theme music that's played as the characters run into the van is great.
