dark rings

Dark rings remain on my fingernails and toenails. This is an effect of the high-dose chemotherapy. My thumbnails are indeed the darkest. The nails of my pinky fingers aren't too far behind. The others still show a ring, but they aren't as dark as before. Who knows how long they'll stay like this? It's not a big deal at all. It's a very superficial matter, but it's something that I notice often when I look at my hands. The dark rings are a constant reminder of the treatment that I underwent and how that experience changed my life lest I forget.

This isn't the best photo of my fingernails but perhaps you can get the idea.

About time you panted in here to update, Duane! Keeping very busy, I see; that's great.

I checked out your fingernails under a magnifying glass ... you can see who has a little time on their hands (good you threw in all the reading material.) Are the rings on or under your nails? just curious to know if they'd grow out eventually.

Are the rings on or under my nails? I never quite thought of it like that, but I guess they're on my nails. Interesting question. ;)
