back in astro 101

Video Projections on a Globe Make Planetary Data Click brings me back to the two astronomy courses I took as an undergraduate at Vassar. Dr. Elmegreen was passionate about using video clips and animation in her class in the hope (I assume) that the material would be digested more easily by her students. Aside from that, they were just awesome to watch! Watching satellite imagery of Jupiter rotate or seeing comets passing by in the vacuum of space, they make for great entertainment let alone as a buttress to education. I'd be very interested to check out Science on a Sphere.
