the human side of cancer

At the moment, I'm reading The Human Side of Cancer: Living with Hope, Coping with Uncertainty by Dr. Jimmie Holland, chief of psychiatry at Sloan-Kettering and the so-called mother of the field of psycho-oncology. I have just a few more chapters left. It's a very revealing book and I would say it's worth reading for anyone with cancer as well as their family or friends.

Glad to see you keeping busy once more in spite of your many worries. A friend with cancer once told me that it's like being afloat in a boat with nowhere to go. Hang on to those oars! All cheering you on, Duane!

I can't just play with my thumbs. I need to do something now that I'm out of the hospital. After 24 straight days in the hospital, I'm very happy to be able to do so many things.

Thanks for your support! :)
