squeaky IV pole

For about the past week, I have been chained to an awful IV pole. It's slow and difficult to maneuver and it squeaks too. I was given an excellent IV pole upon my arrival here, but I think my pole was changed one night while I was asleep and I woke up to the monstrosity that I have been using. My day nurse, Joanne, is great, however. Without saying anything, she just brought me a different IV pole that though old is a 100% improvement from the previous one. She said she (and the rest of the staff) heard the squeaks my IV pole made when I made that lap earlier in the day with the physical therapist.

Duane --

Kirsten here. Amy just told me about everything, and I've been reading your blog. You will feel better soon! Besides, I still have to tell you about my fondest memory of you at Vassar. Maybe you'll let me make a special post. I have a blog as well...Diary of a Short Black Chick. I hope to come visit you whenever you're feeling back in tip-top shape. We'll definitely have to work on the details. Keep fighting...

Hi Kirsten,

Amy told me you had been informed and that you two were hoping to visit me. Once I'm well, we'll get together and catch-up. And then, I'll finally have the opportunity to hear the details of your story.

Thanks for the message!
Duane
