oral swabs

Due to my low blood counts, toothbrushing is not encouraged. I was given oral swabs instead, which are simply long thin wooden sticks that are crowned by a thick, small green sponge, which must be moistened with water and then applied gently to the teeth. The use of the oral swabs should be used along with the Magic Mouthwash and Biotene, which together are the main instruments of minimizing oral discomfort or mucositis.

Soon you'll be home and able to brush your teeth to your hearts content. :)

You will love the Lance Armstrong books. They're excellent- first books I read after diagnosis.
