nor'easter

"Holy shit." That's how I greeted the morning as I tried unsuccessfully to peer through the window past the blanket of blowing snow that covered every inch of the window's surface. I couldn't see anything but the whiteness of the billowing snowflakes. My usual view of the East River, Roosevelt Island, and the 59th Street was no more. At the present moment, the intensity of the snowfall has slowed down so I can see across the River now. The weather reports estimate total accumulation of 1-2 feet of snow by the time the storm passes by.
