the empire strikes back

Tomorrow I will return to the hospital for several hours of chemotherapy treatment. The chemotherapy drug that I'll receive is called cytoxan and one of its aims is to destroy any renegade or "insurgent-like" cancerous cells that may be lingering around. At times I have tried to come up with colorful language to describe this front in the battle against Hodgkin's Disease. I conversed with Chris, a Vassar friend, last night and he came up with a funny analogy. He told me to think of my body as the Death Star and the rebellious cancer cells (if there are any left) as the Jedi Knights - the Resistance. In this case, let Empire strike back!
