a hair follicle progress report

The hair on my head is I’d guess about 60 – 70% gone. All of the hair in the front half of my scalp except for some left-over strands is gone. The remaining hair is concentrated in the back and sides of my head. I stood in front of my bathroom’s mirror for about 5 minutes tonight simply plucking pockets of hair from my head. How amazing I thought! With absolute no effort, the hair just fell out and onto my fingers. I found the plucking not only fascinating but equally enjoyable to do, although of course, it would take too long to pluck all the hair from my head tonight. I’ll shampoo my hair tomorrow to see how much more hair can be removed.

A close family friend gave me a purple and black bandana, which I have been wearing. I think it suits me well. She reminded me that the color purple is recognized as the symbol for the fight against Hodgkin’s Disease (in addition to perhaps Lupus).
